What shall I do-it whimpers so-
This little Hound within the Heart
All day and night with bark and start-
And yet, it will not go-
Would you untie it, were you me-
Would it stop whining-if to Thee-
I sent it-even now?
It should not tease you-
By your chair-or, on the mat-
Or if it dare-to climb your dizzy knee-
Or-sometimes at your side to run-
When you were willing-
Shall it come?
Tell Carlo-
He’ll tell me!
